Jack of all trades- so I've been told

My mother taught me to be independent and self-sufficient (thank you mom!) so I know how to clean, iron, sew, do laundry (I do it the guy way, whites and everything else), and cook (love it).  It also seems that I have a good mechanical sense and can do just about anything around the house.  I have done concrete, framing, wiring, plumbing, roofing, sheet rock (hate to mud or paint), heat and a/c, gardening (not too fond of that) and love to have a good lawn.  I do most of my own mechanical work on my cars (if you haven't noticed), build furniture (need tools right now), repair and build my own computers, and even dabble in HTML and programming.

I'm a scorpio- uh-oh

You zodiac gurus will know what this means.  I consider myself loving, considerate, intelligent, caring, open and honest.  I'm also stubborn and a little superficial.  Growing up, I was always considered to be the class clown (not always a good thing let me tell you).  I do like my toys.  If there is something I need to do, I will buy the extras (tools, utensils) I need and keep them.  I also like electronics and usually go for the brand names.  My stereo is all Sony and my speakers are Bose.

Outdoorsy, animal lover

I do enjoy the outdoors, but it seems that I never have the time to get out much.  I used to camp regularly many years ago and would love to start again, love wildlife (I don't hunt the animals, they are too pretty and soft).  I avoid the animal shelter as I would probably bring home every animal there. As I type this, Alli my cat is curled up in my lap, purring.  Now SHE is the jealous type!.

I've moved and traveled quite a bit- not all due to the Navy

My family and I moved around a lot as a child (which makes it seem strange to me that I enjoy traveling) and when I joined the Navy at the age of 20, it was the 32nd move in my life.  The states that I have lived in are Arizona (born there), Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Illinois, South Carolina, Virginia, and Missouri.  The list of countries I have visited during my time in the Navy is even longer- Australia, the Bahamas, Canada, Crete, Egypt, France, Greece, Hong Kong (it's China now), Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, St. Martin, St. Thomas, Thailand, Turkey, United Arabian Emirates, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  My last three hopeful destinations are Britain, Russia, and someplace like Norway or Scotland.

I work out or play racquetball three times per week, but still carry a few extra pounds. Since my divorce in July of 1997, I have continued to date.  Even though I have ventured into online friend finding, I still prefer a good night at a local club.  I do enjoy to dance, but, now that I don't drink anymore (liquid inhibition) the music, atmosphere, and partner need to be right.  I am not looking for anything serious, though.  Of course, I was sure I would be a bachelor for the rest of my life when I bumped into my ex-wife. So, I guess anything can happen.

The list of things I call fun is very long and include reading (mostly sci-fi and fiction), movies (I'll see one a weekend), watching sports (hockey, football, nascar), drawing, wood working, and working on cars.
